You may have noticed decorations going up around town over the last weeks, and the holiday spirit will be in full swing when Thanksgiving arrives Thursday. The casts of WICKED, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™: The Musical and ELF The Musical will be spreading holiday cheer all throughout the city during the next couple of weeks, and you’ll be able to catch them at numerous events.
November 23:
Cast members from ELF The Musical will be singing holly and jolly tunes at The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival during the Tree-Lighting Parade. The witches of WICKED will also make an appearance. The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. starting from Oak Street & Michigan Avenue, traveling south on Michigan Avenue to Wacker Drive.

November 25:
The cast of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™: The Musical will perform at the Greater Chicago Food Depository “1 City, 1 Food Drive” kick-off event beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Merchandise Mart.
November 26:
The 100th anniversary of the Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting will feature cast members from ELF and RUDOLPH making things bright with song and dance! The ceremony will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Daley Plaza.
November 28:
If you’re up early on turkey day, be sure to catch performances from ELF and RUDOLPH during the annual McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It begins at 8 a.m. on State Street – traveling from Congress to Randolph. The parade will also air LIVE on WGN 9 Chicago.
Then switch over to NBC to see the cast of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL dancing in the streets during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
December 2:
WICKED company members will appear at Sidetrack’s Musical Mondays for a VIP Benefit to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. There will be a silent auction featuring numerous WICKED items. Giving, great gift ideas and you’re helping out a great cause? Sounds like the perfect holiday combination! Entry is $20 at the door and includes 2 drink tickets.
December 6:
Macy’s Believe Day helps grant wishes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Your wish to meet the cast of ELF The Musical can come true if you stop by the Macy’s on State Street at 12:30 p.m. They’ll be here reading holiday stories and sticking around for hugs and season’s greetings afterwards.
December 8:
WICKED continues to do things “for good” by holding ‘The WICKED Night Before Christmas’, a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Chicago House. The themed holiday performance will take place at The Laugh Factory at 8 p.m. and will also include a silent auction. Tickets are available online at www.chicagohouse.org or by phone at (773) 248-5200 ext 303. The evening is intended for mature audiences. Must be 16 or older to attend
